Our PTFA
The Lydeard St Lawrence Parents Teachers and Friends Association has been running for many years to support the work of the school.
Everyone who is a parent or carer of a child at the School is automatically a member. All are welcome at our meetings, which are usually held in evenings once a half term. Our core team is made up of a small committee of about 8 parents.
We are thrilled to have just received the Parentkind National PTFA of The Year 2025 Award. These awards showcase PTFA's across the country, and we were honoured to be nominated and to win was the icing on the cake!

We have a range of people and skills represented by our committee, which currently consists of:

What do we do?
- Provide additional resources through our fundraising to enhance the learning environment, provide access to experiences and opportunities for all children at the school.
- Provide opportunities for the school community to come together and join in social events and raise money at the same time.
We Need You!
There are lots of ways that you can support us.
- Join In! Whether that is by joining the PTFA committee or just turning up to an event or helping out on the day. If you have a fundraising idea let us know, we try to think outside the box and run events that are low cost and low input due to the size of the school, but that have BIG impact!
- Easy Fundraising: you can set Lydeard St Lawrence as your charity on easy fundraising and when you shop online through their browser or app you’re raising funds for the school. www.easyfundraising.org.uk
- Get involved in our MAD (Make a Difference) Days. Held once or twice a year, this is a great way to donate your time to improving the school environment by painting, washing windows, transforming classrooms etc.
